Draw a circle/rectangle in Photoshop

It is very easy to draw filled circles or rectangles in Photoshop. But as soon as it comes to drawing a circle just as an outline Photoshop gets complicated. There are many ways to do it. The pictures will show two ways. One using the marquee tool and “Edit”->”Stroke…” the other using paths that are stroke with the brush tool. Just have a look on the screenshots.

Step-by-step: Go to “Edit”->”Preferences”->General… (CTRL+K). There choose “Performance”. Look for the block “History & Cache”. Change the number of “History States”. Photoshop will be able to undo up to 1000 actions.
